Linehan accepts Lions OC job

After expressing enough interest in the 49ers vacant Offensive coordinator position to interview twice, Scott Linehan announced today that he is going to Detroit instead. There have been rumors circulating that he was headed to the 49ers even before they offered him the job last Friday. This was until he officially declined the job offer on the 18th. Here we are less than a week later looking at a man who chose an 0-16 team, the worst in NFL history.

SO why did this happen? According to Linehan himself it was his desire to keep his family in St.Louis but around the Bay area some people were concerned that it showed that no one wanted to come in and coach for the York's. While I am still certain that the York's are looked at as a distasteful joke, it did not seem to affect his decision. As bad as the Niners have performed under the hexed York family, they have not been as bad as the lions. Just ask JT if you need confirmation. He looked like Kurt Warner against them in the beginning of the season.

No one likes getting turned down but Mike Singletary seems unfazed and is staying resolute. He vows to remain faithful to his promise of finding the right guy and not just a quick fix. The only problem is that the NFL OC field is awfully thin this year and now the search is including collegiate coaches. I personally look at college football as a contorted surrealism of NFL football. NFL coaches generally do great if they move down to the collegiate level but rarely does it work in reverse. Then again all we're talking about is a coordinator job not HC/GM. I still believe Singletary will find the right person because of his determination. After all Linehan is no Walsh and even Martz had more success with the Rams...

Why I hate LA

I dont.

In fact I dont hate anything... except pseudo-intellectuals and commercial "art." Especially movies. I fuckin hate movies in alot of ways. Films on the other hand are a different story. Also thanks to the masses we also have to endure through some truly terrible music.... and musicals.

In fact no self respecting hatdog motherfucker would ever let their kids watch some fake ass wholesome dribble that robs kids ( and adults) of understanding the world around them.

I wouldnt touch this with a hat or a dog. Did I mention I can't stand people from LA?

more thoughts on thoughts.

If I am to say anything profound must "I" say it? If my thoughts are indeed mine, meaning that there is something more than an abstraction that carries my legal name, does that then mean my name is significant beyond the ability of my parents to then choose it? I digress. Who am I is the point of this post and the point may not be so clear.

Many people have weighed in on this from Descartes to Abraham. But who makes the most convincing argument as to dissolve the illusion of the self. I may have colored that last sentence to much for purists but how much of them is pure? and what part? is it the analytical part of them that first reads my words or is the critical side that then responds? in fact who is doing the reading? what does it mean to read in the first place. is it the comprehension of the symbols i lay down before you? then "who" is doing the comprehension? furthermore why do I say part when referring to someones personality?

That I can answer. I have seemed to pick up over the years that I am not one me but a competing set of thoughts that gerrymander and evolve into a cobbled sense of self identity. SO now my phrasing makes sense but where do I go from here? Can I make a better model of what constitutes a conscious entity?

I also have a problem with consciousness vs sentience. If you include self awareness in the definition of conscious then what about sentience. if we strip it down, sentience is, more or less, the ability to have a point of view . I find that to assume that any matter can have a point of view without any semblance of self awareness or wherewithal is Highly dubious. unless you consider something like a camera. cameras clearly of a point of view without consciousness or sentience. simply an optic device that takes in light. what makes that different than other types of matter? is it the way it converts energy ? meaning that every piece of matter is simply energy converting into another form (ie E=MC^2). is this enough to create a foundation to then evaluate reality?

I guess the better question is can I ever evaluate reality in a objective sense because I find myself trying to all the time...

ps dont make a snide remark about the fact that dimensions are not made of matter but they do matter.

Oreo is..... Biedrins

Im going to let in you in on a little secret. Everyone knows Oreo that lovable little hound and some may even know Andris Biedrins, but how many of you readers ( if you even exist) know that that Oreo and Biedrins are one in the same. To clarify I am literally telling you that my dog Oreo is controlling Biedrins when he is on the court. Meaning that if Biedrins gets a rebound that's all Oreo, if he misses a free throw that too is all oreo. Now don't get me wrong Oreo is cocky, hes a bit of a huff and hes definitely a mans man but sometimes he gets soft. Sometimes he'll just lay with drew and get his little butt scratched and act like a little freakin' baby.

Any ways last night the Warriors played the Kings and went into triple OT. Sounds like a chance for Oreo to shine? Eh, well he fouled out on a fucking over the back call trying to get a rebound. So Oreo had no control over the outcome of the game yet after the game I still pressed him hard for some answers...

JSB: Oreo early in the game you picked up 2 quick fouls, in my opinion the calls were questionable at best, but you then had to sit out half of the 1st quarter. Yet at this point you seemed more interested in my chicken curry? What gives?

Oreo: well to be honest I was really tryin to get at least a bite of naan. Granted in the end a piece of chicken was my goal but I wanted to start easy on you. I figured I could use the "Ye Olde" foot in the door technique.

JSB: So the naan led you to foul?

Oreo: Again I said I wanted naan mother****er. Not that it caused my fouls thats up to the ****in refs.

JSB: Weren't you afraid I wouldn't let you get naan since you were on the bench. I mean come on, what kind of owner would I be if I didn't at least try to motivate you?

Oreo: Can we get off the naan questions. I mean this is not our first interview and all you do is bring up naan time and time again.

JSB: Ok. But for the record you said naan first. But I can sympathize with your postion. While you were on the floor the warriors dominated the boards, and thus, the game.

Oreo: Ya fasho.

JSB: Then why were you trying to eat the rice I dropped on the floor while biedrins was sitting on the bench after we got a lead in the 4th quarter?

Oreo: That's up to coach (nelson). I tried my usual sitting in between you and drew to prevent, 'ahem, "touching," but even then you guys still were "loving" each other. Next thing I know I'm on my back passed out with, you know, my paws all limp and in the air, you know tryin to look real cute and I hear you yelling about how Nellie shoulda kept me in the game with 5 fouls. I saw my chance to get some ****in food. So yeah I got that rice. Besides if Drew knew that you spilled on the floor you woulda been in trouble.

JSB: My castigation aside, you admit you slept through part of the game.

Oreo: Ya, but I still ended with a ****in double double and 5 blocks.

JSB: Damn you're good.

apology

I just wanted to apologize to NYCB on behalf of the JSB Estate including, but not limited to, this website, as well as the general public which has been on my side throughout this trying time. I have been contacted and instructed by NYCB to repeal the comment about racism. I refuse censorship and have had my lawyers, and a few well wishing yoga instructors, to draft up a defense to avoid court. This does not change, however, my deepest regrets for them firing William Lin Yee.

My dog Oreo has been like a rock for me as I cope with what transpired en route to his termination. Without the support of my dog, for which whom I blame any loss in a sporting event or video game, I would not have the resolve to complete my lifes goals in wake of the termination of Mr. Lin Yee. It has almost been a Year since then and I do feel that there is hope on the horizon and my life can get back to normal, despite the incessant e-mails I get from NYCB and its sponsors.

Just because I spray paint bad things about them on BART and MUNI and just because I befouled them using a canine in front of lincoln center on THEIR own advertisements, they feel disrespected by the JSB Estate. Also one time they saw a short play I wrote regarding the firing of Mr. Lin Yee and they found it quote "tasteless" and "melodramatic." Well Mr. Balanchine you may been from georgia and you may have been gay but we can no longer be friends...

Well at least until you hire another friend of mine...

PS feel free to use that pic as a background to commemorate this life changing event. It is 1600 x 1200

Man I could just imagine me and Samir, postin, drinkin and gambling as we once again bring Treality to this so called convention...
